What’s happening at Next Fest
Among Shadows is an asymmetric fantasy multiplayer game from TMXN Games. It sits just outside Next Fest’s top 15 in the October 24 live snapshot, combining social deduction with action and real-time tactics.
What makes the game stand out
Players investigate an infection across a blighted land while traitors hide among the party. When the Blood Moon rises, the Order shifts to defending an evacuation, with traitors trying to sabotage the mission and turn trust into a liability.
Who may want to try it
The unusual structure may appeal to groups who enjoy accusing and reading one another but want more to do between votes. The demo can reveal whether its investigation, combat and betrayal phases create a clear, exciting flow.
